The Desoto Police Department has one Officer assigned to Code Enforcement. The Duties of the Code Enforcement Officer Range from setting traps to catch wild animals and animals at large. Officer Allen is trained in apprehending vicious animals through techniques designed to incapacitate the animal while ensuring the safety of the animal at the same time. Officer Allen responds to calls from citizens about skunks, cats, dogs, snakes, and many more. Officer Allen is also responsible for enforcing ordinances regarding water violations, high weeds, junk cars, Business Licenses and illegal abandoned motor vehicles on roadways. Officer Allen is an asset to the City and with him leading the way and the citizens helping out we can continue to keep our city clean and beautiful. If you are concerned about any issue discussed above and would like to speak with Officer Allen, you may contact him Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. If you are concerned about your dog or cat that has gotten loose you will need to contact Officer Allen during normal business hours. All dogs and cats within
the City limits are required to have a license. Those licenses can be
obtained at City Hall window during normal business hours. For
