enforcement activities
Welcome to the De Soto Police Department Enforcement Activities Page. On this page we will explain the details of different types of enforcement to give you an inside look on how we operate. The safety of the citizens is important to our office, and that's why on this page we will also include very important links that you can follow. One thing that allows us to beef up enforcement in areas that have proven to be a problem is through grants. These grants come from State and Federal programs general through the Department of Transportation. Grants we receive do not come solely from this resource. For more information regarding our grants you can contact Lt. Brian Werner at (636)586-8891 Summer Vacation With Summer quickly approaching the kids will soon be getting out of school for summer vacation. We would like to remind parents to have a back-up plan for your children. Get in touch with a close relative or a trusted neighbor and if your not going to be home provide them with emergency contact numbers so that if the Emergency Personnel must get in touch with you they can. Also keep handy things like:
You never know when an emergency will occur but I can assure you when the time comes you will be glad to have been prepared.
If you are going out of town for vacation please remember to let the police department know. When we know you are out of town we can keep an extra eye out for people who may not be authorized to be there. Contact Lt Werner for more information.

The De Soto
Police Department is committed to safeguarding our neighborhoods. A safe
and livable neighborhood with pleasant conditions for residents,
cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians is an important part of a good
quality of life. The De Soto Police Department responds to numerous
traffic complaints each month. The most common concerns expressed are
speeding vehicles and heavy traffic. These disturbances can lead to
excessive traffic noise, difficulties for pedestrians and bicyclists and
the perception that our streets are not safe. |
