Some of the responsibilities of  the Administrative Assistant/City Clerk are to attend meetings of the City Council; record and transcribe meeting minutes; serves as custodian of official City records; coordinate City elections, supervise preparation and publication of legal notices; draft letters and memoranda; oversee the Risk Management Program and in the absence of the City Manager, will supervise all activities and personnel of the City.
 

The Administrative Assistant/City Clerk attends meetings of the City Council, records and transcribes minutes; serves as the custodian of official City records; serves as safety coordinator and oversees the Risk Management Program.  Prepares letters, memoranda, and legal notices.
The Administrative Assistant/City Clerk certifies election ballots to the County Clerk’s Office.  The Administrative Assistant/City Clerk administers oaths of Office and accepts voter registration.

Additionally, the Administrative Assistant/City Clerk serves as office supervisor for the positions of Deputy City Clerk, Finance Clerk, Utility Billing Coordinator, Court Clerk and Clerk. This position also performs duties of the City Manager, in his absence.
