Safety home page. Here you will find all the
information that you need to know about the two agencies
that make up the Department of Public Safety.
The De Soto Fire Department and the De Soto Police Department. In 2007 The De Soto Police Department and The De Soto Fire Department became the De Soto Department of Public Safety. While both agencies work separate of each other, some Police Officers are trained and continue to train with Firefighters to help provideg the best possible service for the citizens of De- Soto.
The De Soto Fire Department has an outstanding staff of volunteer firefighters and having policeman trained as firefighters is for back-up purposes. The Department of Public Safety is directed by Chief Ernie Paul. The day to day operations of the De Soto Fire Department are carried out by Assistant Chief Craig Block.
The ultimate goal at the end of the day is that we provide our citizens the best possible Police and Fire service. Should you have any comments, questions, concerns or suggestions please feel free to email, call or come by.
